44th Annual Oak Park Ave-Lake Arts & Crafts Show, August 25-26, 2018

Oak Park, IL - Artistic adventures in canvas, glass and wood wait visitors to the 44th Annual Oak Park Ave-Lake Arts & Crafts Show to be presented by American Society of Artists, a national membership organization, in Scoville Park, 800 W Lake St. (Oak Park Ave. & Lake St.), Oak Park IL, Saturday, August 25 from 11am to 7pm and Sunday, August 26 from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free both days.

Artists and crafts artists from far and near will fill Scoville Park with work they themselves created. This long time popular juried show will be held with exhibitors located on the grass alongside sidewalks and others along aisle winding across the park.

You, your family and friends will enjoy exploring the many talents and treasures of the artists and crafts artists of American Society of Artists as they exhibit an enticing array of work ranging from oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, jewelry, art wear and wood arts to hand-crafted candles, metal art, pastels, photography, mixed media works, fiber arts, and even guitar box guitars created by William Kamar plus much more.

Art In Action is included in the show with some exhibitors working/demonstrating at their booths at various times during the show. All the many exhibitors will be happy to discuss their work with you.

Among the many exhibitors will be popular returning exhibitor Danielle Stotts exhibiting her beautiful hand-crafted jewelry. Inspired by her grandmother Mary, the Marigold Mary line combines modern and vintage materials to produce a distinct convergence of past and present. Motivated by her urban environment, an appreciation for geometry and love of vintage heirlooms, her pieces are made to be layered and worn day in and day out. She focuses on comfort and ease of wear using traditional metalsmithing tools and techniques. She loves using new hammers, anvils and mandrels to create distinct patterns and finishes.
